OpenTruth analyzes public political discourse videos to extract and verify factual claims. We process:

We do NOT collect end-user data (no accounts, no tracking, no profiling cookies).

  • Transcriptions of public YouTube videos
  • Speaker data: name, function, political role (public figures only)
  • Claims: extracted assertions with type classification and validity scores
  • Sources: URLs and excerpts from public web sources
  • Entities: organizations, locations, events mentioned

3. Legal Basis

Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG), Art. 31 — legitimate interest (fact-checking of public discourse by public figures).

4. Automated Decisions (Art. 21 nDSG)

OpenTruth uses AI (NLI models, LLM agents) to automatically evaluate claims. Any person affected by a verdict may request human review by contacting contact@opentruth.ch. We respond within 30 days.

5. Data Subject Rights (Art. 25-29 nDSG)

Data hosted in Europe (OVH, France). US transfers (OpenAI) covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 16 nDSG).

Only strictly necessary technical cookies (session, language preference). No tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.

8. GDPR Applicability
